Film Making for Primary Schools – Some Practical Activities
Wednesday 3rd February 2010  4:00-5:30pm
Simple activities using Microsoft Movie Maker and low-cost hand-held digital video cameras to get students started with film making.

Taking Animation Further
Thursday 4th February 2010      4:00-5:30pm
How to create better animations and films through media literacy activities and better storyboarding techniques. Suitable for Primary and Secondary School staff with some experience of animation or film making, however little!

Free loan equipment
We have film and animation making kit available to loan for partnership schools including Digital Blue cameras and Digital Video cameras.

April 1st 2010 is the closing date for the Steel City Globe film awards.

Primary Schools can enter films of up to two minutes in length and Secondary Schools up to three minutes.

Royd Nursery and Infants – Animation Workshop

Tracey Scott and Marie Jolly from Royd Nursery and Infants ran an excellent workshop at the CLC on Friday 25th September as part of the Emerging Technologies Conference for schools in this partnership.
