The next Teach Meet is on Tuesday 26th January and starts at 4pm. All those who work in SWCLC partnership schools – this is YOUR meeting! Come along and learn something from your colleagues.
The idea is that we all have some form of ‘expertise’ in terms of ICT and teaching – something you tried with your students whether it was an ad-hoc single lesson or a longer piece of work. No one needs to be a techie or geek – we can all share something.
We’re hoping at the next Tech Meet we’ll be hearing from teaching staff in your schools about such diverse topics as using the Nintendo Wii in the classroom, using handheld voting systems with an interactive whiteboard and developing children’s writing skills through using the PC game Myst.
Do come along and feel free to just listen or share you ideas!
Teach Meet 09
November 17th is the date of the first Teach Meet.
This is an informal gathering of those curious about teaching and technology. All interested teaching staff are invited and can come along to share great ideas they’ve trialled in their classrooms, ask important questions or simply take part in learning conversations.
The meetings are also intended to be a means of supporting teaching staff in their roles, to show them what is happening in other partnership schools, provide information about projects and the support we can offer.
